Simple, Accurate DNA Quantitation

The QuantiFluor® dsDNA System contains a fluorescent DNA-binding dye that enables sensitive quantitation of small amounts of double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) in solution. The system is suitable for use in many molecular biology applications, including next-gen sequencing and other techniques where accurate DNA quantitation is important. This dye shows minimal binding to single stranded DNA (ssDNA), RNA, protein and interfering compounds, allowing specific quantitation of dsDNA.

Improved Sensitivity vs. Absorbance and Other dsDNA Fluorescent Quantitation Systems

The QuantiFluor® dsDNA Dye offers greater sensitivity over absorbance at 260nm (NanoDrop®) low-concentration samples, and better or equal sensitivity performance when compared to PicoGreen®. 10pg/µl vs. 20pg/µl for Quant-iT PicoGreen® (1µl of sample in a 200µl assay volume).

Better Sensitivity than Quant-iT™ PicoGreen®, Equivalent Linearity

The QuantiFluor® dsDNA System detects as little as 50pg/ml dsDNA in a 96-well microplate assay (1µl of a 10ng/ml starting sample). Detection limit is defined as greater than three standard deviations above background RFU.
